Careers in energy systems.
We set out to build an energy management system (EMS) for battery storage from the ground up. Our founders had spent their careers in energy storage, utility software, remote monitoring, and automation and controls. We had operated enough batteries to know what the software needed to do. Today our EMS operates batteries across three countries, from grid-scale storage to critical-power microgrids and data centers. AI data centers are now our main focus, with large projects moving from proposal into execution. Bootstrapped from day one, we are scaling engineering, deployment, field operations, product, and customer support.
THE PLATFORM
What you would be building on.
The platform is written in Rust and runs on real-time Linux at the site, where it controls batteries, power conversion systems, metering, protection relays, and microgrid controllers, and where it increasingly sits between the data center and the power system that feeds it. The architecture is modular: new capabilities are added as plugins and applications on a stable core, so the same platform serves a grid-scale battery, a critical-power microgrid, and an AI data center. It ships with an integrated user interface and connects to Battalion Live, which runs on AWS and handles telemetry, monitoring, and remote operations. Together they replace the SCADA and PLC control stack a conventional site would run, and they do more than that stack can: site control, power plant control, market dispatch, and monitoring in one system.JOIN THE TEAM
